This is an Old Navy peasant skirt with a bubble hem. The jeans are just from London. They’re from several years ago.
The top, I like the vivid purple. It’s cute. It’s got this salmon-y orange color detailing on it and of course the little peasant shirt strings. But I hate these bubble hems. It’s tight no matter where I put it. I just put it right up under my boobs to make it even really not tight. And of course, [inaudible 00:00:31].
I think that what some people have been doing – and this type of hem too is a [inaudible 00:00:37] hem. It’s got five lines of elastic running through it. So, you can’t do it here. But I know what some people are doing with the bubble hems like this that are meant to gracefully [inaudible 00:00:48] around your stomach. How that works, I don’t know, but that’s what they’re meant to do.
And what some people are doing with them is actually just cutting the elastic out and letting the shirt hang free. But then it looks kind of floppy and weird.
So, the sleeves are also tight here and the elastic is just too tight on the sizing for a plus size shirt. It’s very tight around the arms, very tight around the hips and stomach and just not so much.
